Explore Greenland

Greenland, a world of breathtaking beauty and strength, a dramatic arctic world of glaciers, icebergs and ice fjords is situated between the North Atlantic and Arctic oceans.

More than 80% of the island is covered by an ice cap 4km thick in places. Its northerly position, largely above the Arctic Circle, results in natural phenomena such as summer’s midnight sun and winter’s Northern Lights. During the Arctic summer the sun never sets. In autumn, winter and spring the northern lights sweep across the dark sky above snow-covered mountains.

Here, ancient culture is still alive: Inuit drum dance, kayak performance and colourful national costumes. Arts and crafts have developed over generations.
