Package Itinerary
Day 01 - Mumbai – Ajanta
The Heritage Tour of India will commence with a grand traditional welcome. The reporting time will be 1430 hrs, at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai for registration.
You will then be escorted to Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station, from where you will board the luxury train named Maharajas' Express to begin your heritage luxury tours through the majestic lands of India. Learn about the rich Indian history in brief.
A royal dinner on-board will satisfy your hunger. Have a comfortable stay at night in the regal chambers and cabins of Maharajas'.
Day 02 - Ajanta Caves
Begin your day with a relishing breakfast on-board. Later proceed for a sightseeing tour of the Ajanta Caves. These majestic caves will give a wonderful start to the Indian heritage tour. Return back to the luxury train to enjoy your lunch on board. Spend some relaxed leisure hours in the evening.
The next destination of this heritage tour will be Udaipur, popular as “the Venice of East.”
Have a comfortable overnight stay in the lavish Maharajas' Express after enjoying a regal dinner on-board.
Day 03 - Udaipur
On 3rd day as well breakfast is served on-board as you arrive in City of Lakes, Udaipur.
Either relax on-board or avail the services of Spa at a 5 star hotel. It is recommended to go for a sound and light show. Enjoy a boat ride in Lake Pichola and then visit the City Palace along with the Crystal Gallery. Enjoy a royal lunch at Satkar Hall, Fateh Prakash Palace.
Dinner will be served on-board, while the Maharajas' Express proceeds to Jodhpur.
Day 04 - Jodhpur
Enjoy breakfast on-board in Jodhpur. Either spend relaxed hours in the morning on-board or have a trip to Bishnoi village (if you wish and the time permits) or you can enjoy the services of Spa at a 5 star hotel.
Go for sightseeing at Umaid Bhawan Palace and Jaswant Thada or do shopping to your heart’s content.
The Rajasthan luxury tour includes exploration of the city of Jodhpur after lunch. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort and then take a stroll to the Old Clock Tower Market. Also have a fantastic joy ride on tuk-tuks. In the evening, be prepared for a royal cocktail treat at Hanwant Mahal along with cultural puppet show. Have a comfortable overnight stay on-board, while the train proceeds for Bikaner.
Day 05 - Bikaner
Enjoy breakfast on-board in Maharajas' Express. On arriving at Bikaner, you can either relax on-board or may visit the Lalgarh Museum or the ancient rat temple at Deshnok. Pay a visit to Junagarh Fort, post lunch on-board. In the evening, enjoy the breath taking views of the sand dunes. On the way, have a tea break at Gajner Palace. Along with the sand dunes, enjoy barbeque, cocktails and folk dances.
Return back to the luxury train of Maharajas' Express.
Have a comfortable overnight stay on-board, while the train proceeds for Jaipur.
Day 06 - Jaipur
After arriving at Jaipur also known as the “Pink City”, visit the famous observatory named Jantar Mantar that has the world's largest sun dial or avail the services of a Spa at a 5 Star hotel to feel rejuvenated. You can also visit the Amber Fort or go for shopping or get indulged into golfing at Rambagh Golf Club.
Later, proceed towards the City Palace or Jai Mahal Palace to enjoy the impressive elephant activities. You will get ample scope to spend time with these lovely creatures, painting them or feeding them can be included as per your wish, or you can simply go for the royal ride and then have a royal dinner. Return to the lavish Maharajas' Express.
Day 07 - Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri
The Maharajas' Express will reach Sawai Madhopur on the 7th day. Early morning you will go for an adventurous drive at Ranthambore National Park, where you will spot the majestic tiger amidst the greenery. After that back to your luxury train to have a hearty breakfast in the princely ambience on-board. After wilderness, it’s time to hit your journey towards “Fatehpur Sikri”, which was once the capital of Mughal Emperor Akbar. Upon reaching Fatehpur Sikri, explore the deserted city and later return to the Maharajas' Express for refreshing on-board dinner and moving towards another fascinating city of “The Indian Panorama Tour”, Agra.
Day 08 - Agra - Delhi
The Heritage Tour of India will then lead you to Agra, its last destination. Proceed to get the glimpses of Taj Mahal - the iconic monument of love. Atop Taj Khema, have a Champagne breakfast. Then travel towards the capital city, Delhi. While traveling to the last stop of the tour, enjoy a relishing lunch on-board. Say good-bye to the Maharajas' Express as The Heritage Tour of India comes to an end!
