Package Itinerary

Day 01 - Arrive Katmandu

Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is one of the world’s oldest cities. It is also known as Kantipur. Here one can find distinctive pagoda-roofed temples, stone sculptures, old monasteries and histories monuments.  Arrive in Katmandu, after traditional 'Swagat' (Welcome) our representative would assist you at airport & transfer to hotel for check in. After checking in relax and take the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02 - Kathmandu

Today we visit Swayambhunath: Located approximately 4 km from Kathmandu, this Buddhist Stupa is said to be more than 2000 years old, making it one of the world’s oldest and most glorious Buddhist Chaityas. The Chaitya (stupa) which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by pinnacle of gilt copper. You will see the Durbar Square, the Patan Durbar which houses a bronze collection, the Krishna Temple built by King Siddhi Narsingh Malla, Hiranya Varna Mahavihar. The citiy is believed to have been built during the reign of Vira Dev in A.D. 299.

Day 03 - Kathmandu

After breakfast we leave for Pashupatinath, situated approx. 4 km east of Kathmandu city. It is the holiest of all the Shiva shrines in Nepal and is the abode of Lord Pashupatinath, the guardian spirit of Nepal. It is situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the banks of Holy River Bagmati. Pashupati area is regarded as one of the most important places of pilgrimages for the followers of Hinduism.  Thousands of devotees from within and outside the country come to pay homage to Pashupatinath every day.

Day 04 - Kathmandu - Thimpu

Today we fly to Thimpu from Kathmandu (Duration 1 h 5 min appx). On arrival, check into your hotel and take the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 05 - Thimpu

Morning city tour of Thimpu. Walk around the vibrant and colourful market where local Bhutanese are seen carrying on their daily routines dressed in traditional costumes. Visit King Wangchuk's Memorial, Taschichho Dzong, Bhutanese Handicraft Centers and amazing Thimphu valley.

Day 06 - Thimpu - Punakha

After breakfast, we drive to Punaka (Distance  85 kms appx). Upon arrival check-in the hotel. Later visit the Chimi L'hakhang Temple which is a Buddhist monastery in Punakha District of Bhutan. In founding the site it is said that Lama Kunley subdued a demon of Dochu La with his “magic thunderbolt of wisdom” and trapped it in a rock at the location close to where the chorten now stands.

Day 07 - Punaka

After breakfast, we visit Punakha Dzong, it is the second oldest and second largest Dzong in Bhutan and one of its most majestic structures. The Dzong houses the sacred relics of the southern Drukpa Lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism, including the Rangjung Kasarpani and the sacred remains of Ngawang Namgyal and the tertön Pema Lingpa. Punakha Dzong was the administrative centre and the seat of the Government of Bhutan until 1955, when the capital was moved to Thimphu. It is listed as a tentative site in Bhutan's tentative list for UNESCO inclusion.

Day 08 - Punakha - Paro

Today morning we drive to Paro (Distance127 kms appx). Our journey runs through the typical country side of Bhutan dotted with traditional houses on the hill slope and river valley. On arrival check-in at the hotel and later do a city sightseeing tour including Wang Chu and Paro Chu at Chozom.

Day 09 - Paro

Today we start our full day tour of the valley of Paro, containing a wealth of attractions. In the morning we visit Ta Dzong. Once a watchtower, built to defend Rinpung Dzong during inter-valley wars of the 17th century, Ta Dzong was inaugurated as Bhutan's National Museum in 1968. Later walk down a hillside trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, which has a long and fascinating history.

Day 10 - Paro - Kathmandu

After breakfast, today fly back to Kathmandu from Paro airport (duration 1h 5min appx). On arrival at Kathmandu, check into your hotel. After some rest, visit the Durbar square which is the generic name used to describe plazas and areas opposite the old royal palaces in Nepal. It consists of temples, idols, open courts, water fountains and more. In particular, three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley, belonging to the three Newar kingdoms situated there before unification, are most famous: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. All three are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Day 11 - Kathmandu

After breakfast, leave for the airport for your departure to your onward destination.
