Day 01 - Arrive Delhi

Arrive by International flight, after traditional 'Swagat' (Welcome) our representative would assist you at airport & transfer to hotel for check in. After your check-in, take the rest of your day at leisure or explore the city on your own.

Day 02 - Delhi

Full Day Tour


Today we take a guided tour of Old Delhi, the 17th century walled city of Shah Jahanabad, visiting the great Jama Masjid, which is the principal mosque of Old Delhi. It was built in 1656 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahana and is the largest mosque in India. Later we take a rickshaw ride through Chandi Chowk, the old marketplace of Shah Jahanabad now a picturesque bazaar to reach Red Fort.

In New Delhi, we visit Raj Ghat, memorial to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. It is a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation on 31 January 1948. Further we drive past India Gate, memorial built in the year 1931 to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in the World War I & the Afghan Wars. The names of the soldiers who died in these wars are inscribed on the walls. President's House, the official residence of the President of India, built in the year 1931. Until 1950 it was known as Viceroy's House & served as the residence of the Governor-General of British India.

We will also visit Humayun's Tomb, memorial of Mughal Emperor Humayun, built in the year 1562. The complex is a World Heritage Site & the first example of this type of Mughal architecture in India. Qutub Minar, built in the year 1206 by Qutub-ud-din Aibek. It is a 240 feet tall tapering tower with a diameter measuring 47 feet.

Day 03 - Delhi-Jaipur

Morning after breakfast we drive towards Jaipur (Distance: 273kms appx). Jaipur, popularly known as the Pink City, is the colorful capital of Rajasthan. With its rich cultural heritage and colorful past, it is now one of the most important heritage cities in India. In addition to its role as the provincial capital, educational, and administrative centre, the economy of Jaipur is fuelled by tourism, gemstone cutting, the manufacture of jewelry and luxury textiles, and information technology. In the evening, explore the colorful bazaars and gardens of Jaipur.

Day 04 - Day 04: Jaipur

Jaipur full-day sightseeing

We drive to the ancient capital of Amber,. Known for its Amber Fort, Amber was the ancient capital of Kachhawaha dynasty for 6 centuries. Take an Elephant ride to reach the Fort situated on the hill, an overwhelming experience. Later, we proceed to the City Palace, a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture. Further we visit Jantar Mantar (Solar Observatory), an astronomical treasure house, with solar devices that give accurate predictions till date. We also visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-storied structure of pink sandstone. It was built in the year 1799 so that veiled royal women could peer down the busy street market without being seen by the world through its 953 stone Jharokas (mini windows).

Day 05 - Jaipur-Agra

After breakfast we drive to Agra (Distance: 240Km). On arriving in Agra, check-in to the hotel. Later in afternoon, we visit The Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan , to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. We will also visit the Agra Fort, whose mighty red sandstone walls enclose the beautiful white marble Pearl Mosque and the palaces, halls, courtyards and fountains of his sons and successors, Jehangir and Shah Jahan. We also spend evening visiting the bazaar where the local artisans do the famous fine marble inlay work.

Day 06 - Agra-Khajuraho

After breakfast take a train to Jhansi (Distance 234km appx), on arrival at Jhansi drive to Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh (Distance: 175 km appx). With architecturally beautiful temples, exquisitely carved sculptures and luxury accommodation, Khajuraho, “The Temple City of India”, has becomes an ideal place to visit. Upon arrival at Khajuraho check into the hotel. Later visit sound and light show at Khajuraho. The Light and Sound show on the Western Group of temples complex reminds us of the life and times of the great Chandela Kings and marks out the story of the exclusive temples from the 10th Century to the present day. The 50-minute fascinating show is held every evening and it runs in Hindi and in English.

Day 07 - Khajuraho

After breakfast visit The Khajuraho Group of Monuments which are a group of Hindu and Jain temples in Madhya Pradesh. Khajuraho is one of the four holy sites linked to deity Shiva. Its origin and design is a subject of scholarly studies.

Western Group of Temple:  A boundary wall surrounds and protects the temples within this large rectangular complex and there is only one entry point. Here at the Western Group you will see some of the most sensational temples in the world.

Eastern Group of Temple: A kilometer towards the east from the western group of Temples is the Khajur Sagar and the old village of Khajuraho. On one of the paths to the village is a modern whitewashed structure with a large orange - red statue within. The statue is still worshipped but is one of the oldest images to be found in Khajuraho.

Day 08 - Khajuraho-Varanasi

After breakfast, take off for Varanasi today, on the banks of the River Ganges. Explore India’s most well-known river this afternoon on a Ganges River cruise. This evening, observe the legendary Ganga Aarti at the Dashashwamedh Ghat, involving choreographed pyrotechnics.

Day 09 - Varanasi

After breakfast enjoy a morning boat ride, followed by a stroll through Varanasi’s lanes, checking out the charming shops, restaurants, and observing local life. Visit a wrestling Akhara and check out the traditional spiritual form of martial arts practiced there. This afternoon, visit Sarnath, a deer park that holds particular significance for Buddhists due to its history.

Day 10 - Varanasi-Delhi

Today, your last night on your Jewel in the Crown itinerary, fly to New Delhi, and check into your hotel. Enjoy an evening of leisure and have a lovely dinner at a restaurant close by to your hotel. Get a good night rest and be ready for your departure to your next destination.

After breakfast, your transfer will take you to the Delhi Airport for the departure to your next destination.
